CPTN SRSLY

CPTN SRSLY Comicbook Workshops

Each year SRSLY Dexter, Dexter Community Education, and local comic book artists, host the CPTN SRSLY Comic Book Workshops. During the eight-week comic book workshop series Creekside students attend 20 hours of classes, where they work to write and develop their comics. Each story created by one student as their final workshop product is then published in an anthology. The comic book is then distributed to all the youth at Creekside, the artists families, and at the Ann Arbor Comic Book festival in June.

Youth-Only Meeting

The SRSLY Youth-Only Meeting is a chance for kids to have their say. This 90-minute evening meeting is open to all 5th – 12th grade students and home-schooled youth. Youth Steering Committee members help by facilitating small group discussions. Input and ideas generated at the November Youth-Only Meeting will be used to adjust and improve the SRSLY action plan.
